Redesigning A Zend Framework Based Website - Mealintel

Client Brief

Client approached SynapseIndia with a requirement of re-design a Zend Framework based website for bodybuilders. The website needed to automatically generate meal plans. Client wanted us to customize existing theme of Home, Profile, Foods, Meals, Shopping List pages. He asked us to use more white and red color in the design as well as lot of Ajax. The design needed to be done in web 2.0.

Our Endeavor

The project was about designing a website for bodybuilders to generate automatic meal plans. We have created a fresh design and used lot of white and red in it as suggested by the client. The mockups were created on web 2.0. Client was very impressed with the first cut as we have strongly followed his instructions. We have also facilitated the banner and Lightbox features on the homepage. The Lightbox functionality is added to view full length of images. The Ajax functionality on the food page allows the system to save the food plan in the database without refreshing the page. Based on this feature we have also incorporated a displayed on the right panel, showing details of each product. We have also facilitated the print functionality on the Meal and Shopping List page. Clicking on the "Regenerate Meals" button on the Meal page, users can see a 7 day meal program. By clicking on each day users can view the meal plan for the selected day. The most important issue that we have faced in this project was to provide the print functionality as we need to print the page with same CSS. To attend this issue we have created a different CSS to print the page with same layout.
