Development of Joomla Powered Medical Website - SpecialtyMD

Client Brief

The client approached SynapseIndia with his existing site and wanted to us to give it a fresh look and feel. He also wanted us to enhance a few functionalities of the site to help it work better.

Our Endeavor

SpecialtyMD.com is a website that list the medical specialists of various diseases. We have redesigned the site with a fresh look and feel. White being the base color, a tint of blue has been used to highlight the important sections of the site. The “Request a Quote” form has been placed at the proper place, so that users don't have to face any hassle to post a query. We have designed home and inside page template and after getting the client confirmation we have converted those to HTML and shared with the development team for further development work.

We have integrated the new theme and have created a featured module which will display a list of 20 featured specialists. We have also developed a new Joomla component, which includes subscription plan module for admin user so that admin can manage the subscription plans from the admin section.

These subscription plans will be opted by the specialists to make their profile featured so that specialist get listed on the top in the search list  A login module in which we manage the specialists profile related tasks like login module. We have also integrated the PayPal payment gateway, to make payments, profile updates according to the subscription plans opted by individual specialist etc.

Functionalities like - display of users' details list on clicking on an individual user using Ajax in the advanced physician search on the home page - was also been enhanced.
