Blue Dot cleaning products are made from purified water which is then ionized to ultra high pH. Our production process delivers water at a pH 13.2 to 13.4 – that falls between bleach and drain cleaner, all without the added chemicals. We provide three strengths:

SCIENCE FACT!
pH is logarithmic, so Concentrate is about 5 times stronger than Extra Strength, and 15 times stronger than Glass & Surface. To put that another way, one bottle of Concentrate can make 5 bottles of Extra Strength cleaner, saving you around $14 if you bought them individually.

Are Blue Dot cleaners effective?
Yes! Our Glass & Surface cleaner delivers streak free clean on hard surfaces, gets rid of hard water stains, rust, and grease. If you are looking for an antibacterial surface sanitizer you can use our Concentrated cleaner to mix your own – 1 part bluedothome.combluedothomebluedothome.omconcentrate to 4 parts water. For best results spray on the surface, leave for 30 seconds, and wipe with a dry cleaning cloth.
Wait. It’s just water? How does that work?
We can change the pH of water through ionization. Our concentrated cleaner has a pH of 13.2, similar to that of bleach and oven cleaner.
Ah. So it’s like Kangan water?
Kind of. Our industrial process produces a far stronger and more stable product than Kangan machines. The basic principle is the same, but the execution is different. When you make Kangan water you will often see bubbles in the bottle – this is Hydrogen escaping the liquid,. Our ion suspensions maintain pH for at least a year when stored properly.
How should Blue Dot cleaners be stored?
If you mix your own cleaner from our Concentrate you should store them in a temperature controlled environment in glass or HDPE bottles. High heat or extreme cold can cause changes in pH, as can storage in lighter plastics like PET bottles. We’ve stored product in bottles for over a year without changes in pH.
Does Blue Dot add chemicals?
No. There are no chemicals or extracts added other than what is used in our ionization process. What we put into each bottle is pure ionized water.
Is it safe to drink?
Due to high pH our cleaning products should not be consumed. They may cause gastrointestinal distress. If swallowed or sprayed in the eyes dilute immediately with regular water. See a doctor if you develop gastrointestinal symptoms.
Can I add essential oils for scent?
A lot of people like a nice scent in their home. Unfortunately for those folks Blue Dot products trap everything, including the particles that allow us to smell. Any oils added would be suspended inside the liquid, and wiped away during cleaning.
Can Blue Dot destroy viruses?
We haven’t tested Blue Dot against viruses. We’ve tested Blue Dot as a kitchen sanitizer against bacteria, and it performed very well in independent lab tests (see below). These tests were for commercial kitchen contaminants such as Candida albicans and Staphylococcus aureus, as required by Health Canada. That said, tests on similar high alkaline products show promising results.

Our All Purpose Cleaner is a great all-around degreaser and surface cleaner. Using our Concentrated Cleaner you can produce cleaning products at home.
Testing of two products produced using our Concentrated Cleaner was completed at independent laboratory IG Micromed Environmental Inc. in Richmond, BC, Canada. The testing was performed by Usman Qazi and reviewed by Jim Wilson, Microbiologist. Using our Concentrated Cleaner you can produce a powerful sanitizer capable of eliminating common germs from surfaces. These concentrations fit Health Canada standards for a kitchen sanitizer – we’re in the process of registering our process and products with Health Canada for use in commercial food service.
