Development of Joomla Based Site for Clinicians

Client Brief

The client approached us with a requirement of developing a Joomla based website for the clinicians. We were expected to develop the website from scratch.

Our Endeavor

LecturePad.com is a leading destination for continuous professional development by clinicians and for clinicians. The website is focusing on prevention and clinical application in the fields of Clinical Cardiology, Diabetes and Endocrinology, Lipids and Lipidology and Cardiometabolic Disorders.

We have used Joomla 2.5.4 technology to develop the site. The PSDs were transformed into HTML ensuring smooth navigation and flawless piloting. To develop the website we have used various components, modules and plug-ins from Joomla’s extensions’ platter. The frontend of the site proffers an array of detail pages extending lots of information about the fields the website covers.

Apart from the well segregated frontend, there is a well versed admin panel that can manamage most of the components of the frontend including articles, menu bar, modules, components along with their categories and sub-categories. The admin of the site can also manage the home page slider; while alongside he/she can order of the data that are been posted as articles. Most of the sections are developed using Joomla’s default components like JomSocial, Acymailing, Community Builder etc.For custom properties for customization of the fields we have made use of Joomla Quiz Deluxe , Lof ArticlesSlideShow Module, Lof Showcase Slideshow Module, mod_highlighter_gk4 -ticker etc. Facebook connect module has also been used allowing the end users to share the site or its pages on their Facebook home pages.
